In our ongoing commitment to inspire students to pursue excellence in higher education, the Pant Family Foundation (https://pant.family) is extending its Merit Scholarship program into 2024. We are continuing the tradition initiated in 2023, offering merit scholarships with a maximum value of US$500 per student. Please be aware that the Pant Family Foundation reserves the right to modify any or all terms and conditions, including the potential termination of the program.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be a descendant of Kaji Gunanand Pant, including first-generation children on the mother’s side.
  • The applicant must currently be enrolled in the 10th, 11th, or 12th grade, attending a school in Nepal.
  • Application deadline: July 31, 2024.
  • Scholarship award announcement: By August 31, 2024.

Selection Criteria:

  • The scholarship committee will assess candidates based on their strong academic records, participation in extra-curricular activities, volunteer work, community engagement, consistent attendance, and stellar recommendations from teachers.
  • It is crucial to note that the scholarship committee is committed to fair evaluation and will always hold the final decision on the awarding process.
  • In the event that no candidates meet the specified criteria, the scholarship will not be awarded for that particular year. It’s important to emphasize that the primary goal of this program is to foster excellence in education, volunteerism, and community engagement.
